2024 Eisteddfod Committees

The first meeting of our subject committees will be held on Thursday 16 March at 19:00 in Block B (Room B001) at the University of South Wales, Treforest, CF37 1DL.  This is your chance to find out more about the role of the committees and meet the Eisteddfod team. The visitors car park is located opposite the main campus.  If you are approaching the University from the A470 turn left at the mini roundabout at the main campus.  The postcode is CF37 1DL.  There's a train station close to to the university as well.

On Saturday 18 March from 10:30 to about 14:30, we’ll hold our subjects committee meetings, and these will be held in partnership with our central panels.  We’ll start with an information session for everyone and will then split into separate groups based on subject interests.  The panel, and a member of the team will be there to help and advise during the day.

Do please have a good think about ideas beforehand.  Please bring copies of any pieces or music with you to spark discussion

Each committee will need a Chair and Secretary.  Let us know if you’d like to be considered for one of these posts, and members will vote before starting to discuss the competitions.

Committee officials will take the lead on the work and discussions, namely:

• CHAIR: It is the duty of the Chair to guide and inspire members in chairing the committees efficiently.
• SECRETARY: The Secretary's main function is to record accurately and methodically in clear Welsh.
